Harlington Upper School best performing upper school in Bedfordshire 2017 and 2018

Harlington Upper School are absolutely delighted with another set of wonderful exam results this year, and are the best performing upper school in Bedfordshire for the second year running.

 

Harlington Upper School are absolutely delighted with another set of wonderful exam results this year. GCSE results were again superb and represent “Best Ever” performance for the second year running, particularly as GCSEs and A levels are based on new, tougher specifications.

 

Harlington is the highest performing Upper School in Bedfordshire in 2017 and 2018. 84% of students passed English and Maths GCSE and 80% of students achieve a grade 4 in at least 5 GCSE subjects. 732 students nationally gained 7 or more grade 9 GSCEs – 7 of these students went to Harlington.

 

A level point scores further improved on last year’ excellent results. Seven students gained an impressive three or more grades at A*/A and will go on to study at the Universities of  Oxford (2 students), Surrey, York, Exeter, Warwick and UCL. There were many other notable successes with students gaining places at the Universities of Leeds, Nottingham, Birmingham, Manchester, Bath, Sussex and Portsmouth. Students have also secured places on excellent apprenticeship programmes, including Deloitte.
